22-year-old singer-songwriter Kaja Rode has released her entry for Melodi Grand Prix 2021 (MGP) entitled 'Feel Again'.
The song is an uplifting piano based power ballad with lyrics about becoming ones true self again after experiencing hardships and emotional turmoil.
Rode is among a lucky group of six acts that have already been selected as finalists to compete in the grand finale on February 20.
Rode was raised in Ulsteinvik in Western Norway and attended music specialisation at the Volda High School. She has an extensive history of performing on stage despite her young age.
Rode was a contestant on the 2017 edition of 'The Voice Norway' where she made all of the judges turn around during her blind audition. She was among the finalists but was eliminated during the duel round of the competition.
Among the other automatic finalists for MGP this year are 'The X Factor Norway 2010' contestant Atle Pettersen with his entry 'World On Fire', returning Eurovision fan favourites KEiiNO with 'Monument", MGP 2020 finalist Rein Alexander with 'Eyes Wide Open', boy band Stavangerkameratene with their song 'Barndomsgater' and songwriter of international hit 'Sweet but Psycho' TIX with his song 'Ut Av Mørket'.
Just like the other automatic qualifiers, Kaja Rode will get the chance to exhibit her song prior to the grand finale.
She will perform live in this weekend's third semi-final which airs 30th January in Europe.
The following four acts are competing on Sunday for the chance to join Rode in the final.
Big Daddy Karsten – 'Smile'
Dinaye – 'Own Yourself'
Emmy – 'Witch Woods'
Ole Hartz – 'Vie er Norge'
