Flying the tricolour for last year's winners France at Junior Eurovision 2024 in Madrid is Titouan with his song 'Comme ci, comme ça'.
You can find details on the entry, the artist, and France's history at Junior Eurovision below.
About the artist: Titouan
14-year-old Titouan is a French social media star who came to prominence posting cover songs on his Youtube channel. A proud Breton from the French Atlantic Coast - a pedigree he shares with former French Eurovision act Alvan et Ahez - Titouan plays multiple instruments and has loved music from a very young age.
He has previously appeared on two televised singing competitions in his home nation, The Voice Kids and Dream Team. Now, he says he's ready for the biggest stage possible!
Selected from an audition process that included 20 young musicians, French head of delegation Alexandra Redde-Amiel said that selection panel instantly knew Titouan was the right act for this year. In her own words, "He sat at the piano and we were enchanted!"

About the song: 'Comme ci, comme ça'
As has become standard for France at Junior Eurovision, 'Comme ci, comme ça' is an internally-selected track written by a pair of French songwriters, Malo and Marie Bastide.
Starting with a slow, piano-led opening verse, the song quickly explodes into a positive uptempo number that recalls influences such as Elton John and Mika. The lyrics are a hymn to love and diversity: to quote the lyrics, "we are richer for our differences, no matter where we're going and what we think".
Speaking about the song, Titouan says that "I am very happy with this song - it represents me very well as an artist".
France in the Eurovision Song Contest
Since their return to Junior Eurovision in 2018, France has been the indisputable powerhouse of Junior Eurovision, with a track record anyone would be envious of.
They made their debut at the second ever Junior Eurovision Song Contest in 2004, where they came sixth with Thomas Pontier's 'Si on voulait bien'. Following this one entry, they withdrew from the competition and did not return until 2018. Since then, though, they have never finished lower than fifth!
Most notably, they have won three of the last four Junior Eurovision crowns - first for 2020's 'J'imagine', performed by Valentina; second for 2022's 'Oh Maman !' performed by Lissandro; and third for last year's winner Zoé Clauzure with her song "Coeur". This puts them only one win behind Ireland's record of winning four out of five consecutive contests at the main Eurovision event.
France also did a spectacular job hosting the 2021 contest in Paris and the 2023 contest in Nice. However, faced with the prospect of hosting their third context in four years following Zoé's win last year, the delegation has this year made the decision to pass their hosting rights to last year's runners-up, Spain.
We will see in November whether Titouan can keep up this fantastic record!
