About the Junior Eurovision winner: Lou Deleuze

Born into a musical Parisian family, Lou has been surrounded by music since she was born and has sung since she was two years old. Her father is a luthier - an artisan specialising in the manufacture of string instruments - and Lou has been quick to follow in her family's musical footsteps.

Most notably, Lou has appeared on Season 19 of the popular talent show La France a un incroyable talent (the French version of the "Got Talent" franchise), where she made it through the audition process but unfortunately was not selected to progress to the quarter finals.

Lou has also appeared as an actress in a number of recent films in France against high-profile performers such as Sandrine Kiberlain and Vincent Lacoste, including Le rendez-vous de l'ete, Le parfum vert and Maldoror.

About the song: Ce monde

Ce monde is written by rising French popstar Linh, who has independently had recent French chart success with her ABBA-esque pop ballad Je pense à vous - a song with 50 million streams on Spotify.

The song is a lilting French-language ballad of a kind that fans will be familiar with from France's recent entries at the main Eurovision event - think Edith Piaf, Barbara Pravi or Slimane. In the lyrics, Lou seems to be singing to the adults around her not to hide the dangers of the world from her, and dreaming of better days in the future.

The song is an emotionally mature and polished piece of work and will have no problems standing out on the Junior Eurovision stage.
