About the Artist: Tamara Grujeska

Tamara was born in Gostivar in 2010. At the young age of five, Tamara discovered her talent for singing by taking part in song festivals in her home North Macedonia, such as Ezerski Biseri and Zvezdichk.

She has subsequently participated in a number of international competitions across the border in Serbia, such as Skoljkice, Angel Voice and others. Throughout these competitions, Tamara has won many awards for her unique and powerful voice.

Tamara was internally selected by the North Macedonian broadcaster following an audition process, and was the first artist announced for this year's Junior Eurovision.

About the Song

"Kaži mi, kaži mi koj", which means "Tell me, tell me who" in Macedonian, was released on 16 October this year. It is written by Robert Bilbilov and Darko Dimitrov, the latter of whom has a long history producing songs for southern Balkan countries at the main Eurovision Song Contest event.

Darko has been a part of the writing and production teams for North Macedonia's entries in 2006, 2013, 2014, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Eagle-eyed readers will note that this means he played a key role in North Macedonia's best ever Eurovision result in 2019, with Tamara Todevska and "Proud". Darko has also written entries for Serbia (2018, 2019, 2021), Albania (2015, 2020) and Montenegro (2022).

The lyrics of "Kaži mi, kaži mi koj" are an inspirational call to action, with Tamara seeking comfort and strength from an important person in her life.

North Macedonia at Junior Eurovision

North Macedonia has been a part of Junior Eurovision since 2003, when they placed 12th at the inaugural contest in Copenhagen. They have competed regularly since and had their best results in 2007 and 2008, coming in fifth with Rosica Kulakova & Dimitar Stojmenovski in 2007 and again the following year with Australian-Macedonian singer Bobby Andonov.

Last year in Yerevan, North Macedonia was represented by Lara, Jovan and Irina, who performed "Životot e pred mene". They finished in a respectable 14th with 54 points.
