Today, Australian First Nations pop sensation and Australia's Eurovision 2017 entrant Isaiah Firebrace releases his stunning new single ‘More Than Me’.

The single release comes after a fortnight when the Australian broadcaster SBS revealed Isaiah as one of the first set of artists announced for 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' 2022.

In case you were wondering, 'More Than Me' is not Isaiah's song for Australia Decides. His Australia Decides entry along with his duet partner for the competition will be revealed at a later date.

‘More Than Me’ was written by Isaiah in LA in collaboration with Grammy and APRA nominated songwriters and producer Michael Fatkin and Scott Ritchie. This soulful pop ballad represents a time in Isaiah’s life when he experienced real heartbreak for the first time, taking the listener on a journey of pain and the resignation of the futility of love.

The song masterfully begins with intimate vocal production, growing into a stadium like vocal experience in the choruses. Isaiah bleeds pain through his vocal connecting the listener to emotion reminiscent of a John Legend meets Adele track. Simple, organic lyrics captured in a web of eloquent pop production which evoke familiarity and takes the listener through the common story of lost love.

On the track, Isaiah says:

“This song means the world to me as it is so deeply personal. It’s actually quite scary having it out in the world as it like baring my soul all over again. It was written at a really painful time in my life but I love the honesty and authenticity of the lyrics and the emotion. I’m not sure I will ever write a track like this again so to be able to capture this period of my life is really special and I thank Michael and Scott for being on that journey with me. I hope my fans will relate to the song and I couldn’t be more grateful for your support - nobody loves you all ‘More Than Me’."

A quiet achiever, Isaiah continues to go from strength to strength and build a world class music career with his honest song writing and his once in a generation vocal ability. Still only 21 years old, Isaiah has the world at his feet which remain firmly planted on the ground.

Isaiah first shot to fame when he won The X Factor in 2016 and grabbed global attention for his #1 single ‘It's Gotta Be You’, which is certified Platinum in Australia, 2 x Platinum in Sweden, Platinum in Norway and Gold in Denmark and has now been streamed over 280 million times. He represented Australia as the first Indigenous Australian and third ever competing Australian contestant at the Eurovision Song Contest (finishing in the top 10) and features on many high-profile television events, including The Masked Singer Australia 2020.

Isaiah is highly engaged in the fashion world, having worked with some incredible brands over the past two years and will be performing at Melbourne Fashion Week in 2021.

Having toured extensively with his band across regional Australia both before and during the Covid pandemic, Isaiah is set to deliver a capital city national tour in Australia in 2022 on the back of new music.

‘More Than Me’ is available now on iTunes and streaming on Spotify and Apple Music.
