Gustaph will represent Belgium in Liverpool for Eurovision 2023
Gustaph has won 'Eurosong' 2023 with the song 'Because of You' and will now represent Belgium at Eurovision in Liverpool.
Gustaph came third in the the jury vote and second in the televote to take out the competition.
The Eurosong 2023 final results are as follows (jury / televote / total points):
Gustaph - 'Because of You' (121 / 157) 278 points
The Starlings - 'Rollercoaster' (94 / 183) 277 points
Gala Dragot - 'T’inquiète' (146 / 125) 271 points
Chérine - 'Ca m’ennuie pas' (145 / 123) 268 points
Ameerah - 'The Carnival' (107 / 64) 171 points
Loredana – 'You Lift Me Up' (83 / 84) 167 points
Hunter Falls - 'Ooh La La' (84 / 44) 128 points
The winner was selected by a combination of an expert jury and public voting. A total of 1,560 points were available, 780 points from the public and 780 points from the expert jury.
The expert jury consisted of 15 people who awarded the songs 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, and 4 points each.

Alexander Rybak (Eurovision 2009 winner - Norway)
Nikkie de Jager (Eurovision 2021 host)
Laura Tesoro (Eurovision 2016 representative - Belgium)
Jérémie Makiese (Eurovision 2022 representative - Belgium)
During the week all the acts were put through their paces in the 'Eurosong' Songclub shows where each artist chose the song that they will sing in the final.
The final took place at the Palleis 12 in Brussels.
Belgium has competed in over 60 Eurovision Song Contest's since their debut at the inaugural edition in 1956. They won the Contest back in 1986 with Sandra Kim's fun pop number 'J'aime la vie'. Belgium have qualified for the last two Eurovision Grand Finals. 'Miss You' by Jérémie Makiese finished in 19th place.
