It is the day before the Eurovision Song Contest starts and keen Eurovision fans have been gifted a surprise with cult-Eurovision favourite alumni Joost Klein, Käärijä and Tommy Cash releasing their three song Boyband EP.
Produced in The Netherlands and co-written by the three artists as well as Tantu Beats and KIRO, who have worked on other musical projects with Joost Klein and Käärijä respectively. KIRO produced Käärijä’s Cha, Cha, Cha which placed second at the 2023 Eurovision Song Contest in Liverpool.
Revenue of the lead single I Miss Us will be donated to Musicians Without Boarders with the disclaimer of “bringing music and connection to children affected by conflict, supporting healing, resilience, and peace.“
The collaboration channels the trio’s 1990s band dreams, genres such as pop-ballads, euro-dance, rap and hard rock are featured.
I Miss Us is the song that has the unmistakable sound of the Backstreet Boys, Boyzone and other vocal groups of that ilk.
Mixed with musings of their Eurovision experiences in Basel, Malmö and Liverpool, their fans will undeniably lap this song up. It is also evident that Joost Klein, Käärijä and Tommy Cash enjoyed making the music video of which Tommy Cash is credited with.
2000 is a euro-dance track which is undoubtedly inspired by euro-pop songs of the late 1990s-early 2000s with mentions of pop-culture items from the period. The trio utilise their rapping skills here as well.
Mass Destruction is the heavier of the three songs, flavoured with the style of bands such as Korn and Limp Bizkit. Jonathan Davis and Fred Durst may even approve. There is a lot going on with the lyrics presented in this song in particular.

Back in April Joost and Käärijä made history performing at Coachella in the US where they join a small group of Eurovision artists who have previous hit the Californian stage. The pair sung their song 2024 hit TRAFIK!

Dami's take on the whole Eurovision experience is wild. Can't believe she wasn't the first pick! This remix sounds like a solid way to celebrate the 10-year mark, too. Check out more about it here: Seedance 2.0
