Australia's own Eurovision star Sheldon Riley is set to take part in America's Got Talent: Fantasy League (AGT: Fantasy League).

Sheldon Riley had competed at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, representing Australia with his emotive ballad 'Not The Same.' He finished second in his semi-final and in 15th place in the Grand Final.

The young talent is no stranger to AGT. Sheldon last competed on season 15 of AGT in 2020. He auditioned with the song "Idontwannabeyouanymore" by Billie Eilish. Unfortunately, Sheldon was eliminated in the third quarter-final of the season after delivering his amazing rendition of the Kylie Minogue classic 'Can't Get You Out of My Head.'

Following the success of spin-offs like 'AGT: All-Stars' and 'AGT: Champions', the latest iteration, 'America's Got Talent: Fantasy League,' pits judge against judge to determine who can put together the best line-up of amazing acts.

This competition welcomes some of the best acts to ever grace the 'Got Talent' stages from all over the world. This time around, for the first time in AGT history, fans are given the voting power right from the start.

60 acts from various Got Talent shows around the world were put on a shortlist on the America's Got Talent app that fans could vote on. The Top 40 nominated acts moved on to the televised round.

The judges each selected 10 acts to mentor in their teams. From the 40 acts, 10 acts perform each week over four consecutive weeks. One act each week advances directly to the final via the Golden Buzzer. From the remaining nine acts, five advance to the Semi-Finals and four are eliminated.

The show is hosted by Terry Crews with the four judges are Simon Cowell, Howie Mandel and Heidi Klum with Mel B returning to the judges panel.

The first episode of 'AGT: Fantasy League' aired on January 1, 2024.

On the show was a name familiar to those who have followed 'Eurovision - Australia Decides'. Hans the infamous singer, dancer and accordionist performed a cover of Elton's 'The Bitch Is Back'. Hans was the interval act at the inaugural Australia Decides in 2019 where he performed a medley of Eurovision hits. Unfortunately for Hans he was eliminated in the first episode of 'AGT: Fantasy League'.

It has been confirmed that Sheldon has been teamed up with the Spice Girl judge, Mel B, as his mentor and will perform on the second episode of 'AGT: Fantasy League' which will take place on January 8 on NBC in the US.
