Eurovision song 'Snap' makes the 2022 Top 50 most-played songs on Australian radio

Armenia's Eurovision 2022 entry 'Snap' by Rosa Linn finishes the year making the list of the Top 50 most-played songs on Australian radio for 2022!


'Snap' landed in a at No. 48 with 4,532 spins throughout the year.


Songs No. 40 to No. 50 of the most-played songs on Australian radio for 2022

The Top 50 list is taken from Radio Monitoring's National Playlist which is collated from all commercial radio stations' broadcasts in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth (1 January 2022 to 21 December 2022).


At No.1 on the list sits Harry Styles worldwide hit single 'As It Was' with 12,713 spins, closely followed by 'Remember' by Becky Hill & David Guetta with 12,348 spins. 'Big Energy' by Latto rounds of the top 3 with 11,336 spins.



A lot of songs that made the Top 50 are songs heavily popular on the social media platform TikTok. Which explains how 'Snap' from this years Eurovision in Turin became a hit in Australia.

On TikTok, the original version of 'Snap' has featured in over 300,000 videos, with the sped-up version of the song - 'Snap - High and Fast' - accumulating over 1.36 million videos.

'Snap' became one of the Eurovision Song Contest's biggest success stories.


In Australia Rosa Linn's song peaked at No. 20 on the ARIA Singles chart. It reached No. 10 on the Australian iTunes spending 218 days on the chart. On Spotify 'Snap' peaked at No. 18 on the Weekly Top Songs Australia chart, with a streak of 23 weeks.


'Snap' has charted in the top 10 in 18 countries and reached No. 1 on Belgium's Ultratop 50 Flanders and in Latvia. It peaked at No.21 in the United Kingdom and No. 82 in the United States.


In early December 'Snap' became the second most streamed Eurovision song on Spotify ever surpassing 358 million streams. Rosa Linn took the 2021 Eurovision winners Måneskin and their song 'Zitti e buoni' off the No. 2 spot. 'Arcade' by Duncan Laurence remains the most streamed Eurovision song ever.



This month Rosa Linn performed 'Snap' live at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest which was hosted by her home country Armenia.


We now await the ARIA chart End of Year chart to see where 'Snap' lands on the most successful singles in Australia for 2022.
