Eurovision royalty Dami Im releases new EP 'In Between'

Eurovision royalty Dami Im has released her latest EP 'In Between'. It follows her album release 'My Reality' back in October 2021 and her last EP release back in 2019 with 'Live Sessions EP'.

'In Between' plays with the theme of Dami's life. In an interview with 5BC in Brisbane this week Dami revealed that the "in between" theme has many meanings for her, from being stuck between Australian and Korean cultures, having a music career and being a mother and not feeling like she belongs anywhere.

In a press statement Dami revealed that:

"The seven tracks chronologically document the seven stages of emotional states, exploring themes of identity, societal expectations, love, and friendship, before ultimately realising that life exists within the liminal space of 'In Between'."

The new EP was written by Dami while she was pregnant. For the EP she collaborated with some familiar Australia Decides faces, Sheppard and Jude York.

Dami previously released three songs from the EP with 'Collide' back in April (co-written by Tom Eggert), her Jude York collaboration 'In Between' back in May and the song she wrote with a few members from Sheppard, 'Invincible', just last week.

To celebrate the EP release the Eurovision 2016 jury winner is embarking on a national tour.

The 'In Between' Tour will commence on the same day in her home town of Brisbane (SOLD OUT) on 7 July and will include five dates including Melbourne (SOLD OUT), Sydney (LOW TIX), Canberra and the Central Coast (LOW TIX).

The tour is being presented by Destiny Rescue which Dami has taken on an ambassadorial role. Destiny Rescue is an Australian based organisation with the mission of rescuing children from global sex trafficking and exploitation.
