Eurovision artists on Triple J’s Hottest 200 of Australian songs

In celebration of 50 years of Triple J, the radio station unveiled their countdown of the nation's Hottest 200 of Australian Songs.


The countdown was revealed in two parts. The Hottest 100 of Australian Songs took place last weekend, on Saturday 26 July 2025, on Triple J and the Hottest 200 of Australian Songs was revealed over the week on Double J with the full countdown airing again this weekend.


Several Eurovision and Australia Decides artists made it on the countdown!


Lets take a look at the Eurovision artists that made it:


No. 73 - Hilltop Hoods feat. Montaigne and Tom Thum - 1955




Eurovision 2021 artist Montaigne was the only Eurovision artist to feature on the Hottest 100 of Australian Songs portion of the countdown. Their collaboration, 1955, with Hilltop Hoods and Tom Thum reached No. 73. back in 2016 the song peaked at No. 2 on the ARIA Singles chart and No.4 on Triple J's Hottest 100 countdown.



No. 77 - Killing Heidi (Ella Hooper) - Weir




Australia Decides artist Ella Hooper has two songs on the Hottest 200 of Australian Songs countdown, by her band Killing Heidi. The song Weir hit No. 77 in this years list. In Triple J's Hottest 100 countdown in 1999 the song made it to No. 2. On the ARIA Singles chart the song reached No. 6.



No. 142 - Vanessa Amorosi - Absolutely Everybody




Vanessa Amorosi's biggest career hit Absolutely Everybody landed on the Hottest 200 countdown at No. 142. The song peaked at No. 6 on the ARIA Singles chart. Vanessa also had the honour of performing the song at the Sydney Olympics in the year 2000.



No. 174 - Killing Heidi (Ella Hooper) - Mascara



Mascara by Killing Heidi remains their only No. 1 hit on the Australian Singles chart. In 1999 the song landed in at No. 14 in Triple J's Hottest 100 countdown. In 2025 it landed in the Hottest 200 of Australian Songs at No. 174.



No. 180 - Olivia Newton-John - Hopelessly Devoted To You




The late Olivia Newton-John secured her spot on the Hottest 200 of Australian Songs with Hopelessly Devoted To You at No. 180. The song is a pinnacle ballad in the 1978 musical film Grease. Hopelessly Devoted To You charted very well around the world reaching No. 1 in Belgium, Canada, Ireland and the Netherlands, No. 2 in Australia and the UK and No. 3 in the US.



No. 199 - Kate Miller-Heidke - Caught In The Crowd



Australia's only Eurovision entrant to sing on a pole, Kate Miller-Heidke managed only one song on the countdown. Caught In the Crowd was released in 2009 as the her second single off her second studio album Curiouser. The song won Kate the Grand Prize in the 2008 International Songwriting Competition. It went on to reached No.33 on the ARIA singles chart.
