We profile the 2026 entry from Georgia including details on the artist, song, how it was chosen, odds, fan reaction and how the nation has fared at Eurovision.
Lithuania first competed in the Eurovision Song Contest in 1994 where they finished dead last with 0 points (Ovidijus Vyšniauskas - Lopšinė mylimai). They had a five year break before coming back to finish in a much better place in 20th position. Since their debut, Lithuania has entered the Contest 25 times and have qualified for the Grand Final 18 times.
Surprisingly, Lithuania has only had three top 10s; including 2006's LT United coming in 6th place with We are the winners, which is their best result to date. Lithuania is the only Baltic country not to have won the Eurovision trophy.
Lithuania has more recently seen quite consistent success with qualifying the last five years and finishing between 8th and 16th place. Lion Ceccah will be looking to do better this year with their haunting song Sólo quiero más.

About the artist
Lion Ceccah (real name Tomas Alenčikas) was born in Vilnius, Lithuania, and has a background in music, dance and musical theatre. Before their music career took off, they spent time working in London while trying to break into the industry. Lion studied performing arts and built a foundation on stage performance, which later shaped their theatrical style, which will be very present on the Eurovision stage.
Lion's first real exposure came in 2017 when they appeared on Lithuania’s version of X Factor under the stage name Alen Chicco. That was their first big break moment where they made it to the semi-finals and stood out for their artistry. From there, they began releasing music and building a following, especially within Lithuania’s pop and drag scene.
They kept the Alen Chicco name for several years, releasing songs and repeatedly trying to represent Lithuania at Eurovision. Between 2019 and 2023, Alen Chicco entered the national selection multiple times but never won, despite reaching finals and semi-finals.
Around 2024/2025, there was a rebirth as Lion Ceccah which is a letter reshuffle of Alen Chicco. The change was marked by a “farewell” track to his old character/persona and a shift toward a more refined artistic direction.
Under the new name, Lion came second in Lithuania’s Eurovision selection in 2025 with Drobė” showing the rebrand was working.
Lion Ceccah's breakthrough at the highest level came in 2026, when they finally won Lithuania’s national selection on their fifth attempt with Sólo quiero más, earning the right to represent the country at Eurovision.
About the song
Sólo quiero más is about a persistent inner drive for more even when the world feels chaotic or empty.
The song was written by Lion and Aurimas Galvelis who is credited as the lyricist.
The song is anything but a straightforward pop song, instead, it is built as a layered, evolving piece which combines introspective verses (mainly in Lithuanian) with a repeated “I just want more” that anchors the song.
The production mixes both electronic and orchestral elements, giving it a darker, more dramatic tone in the final Eurovision version that was released two weeks ago. Structurally, it escalates - starting quiet, soft and introspective, then expanding outward with repeated phrases and added languages, gaining intensity.
Lion sings in multiple languages: including Lithuanian, Spanish, and English, with additional lines in French, German and Italian. The core phrase Sólo quiero más which is in Spanish, is repeated throughout and then echoed in other languages toward the end.
How was Lion Ceccah chosen for Eurovision?
Lion Ceccah won Eurovizija.LT 2026 in a public vote tie-break (in quite the landslide result). This was their fifth attempt to represent Lithuania at Eurovision. Since then, the song has had a revamp. Previously the year before, Lion finished in second place in Eurovizija.LT 2025.
Lithuania will compete in 12th place in the first semi-final of the 2026 Eurovision Song Contest on 12 May 2026 in Vienna.
