Eurovision 2024: What's on in Malmö for fans?

Whether it is your first Eurovision or you are an old hand, there is plenty to keep fans busy in the week leading up to the Contest.


There are so many events and opportunities being put on by Malmö - it is sure to be an amazing contest. There will be ample opportunity to see previous Eurovision artists perform as well as artists performing in this year's Contest.


Also, there will be so many fans on the ground that you are sure to make new friends. There really is a never ending list of things for you to do in Malmö, so let's take a look what is on!


Firstly, if you are looking for general touristy things to do in Malmö - we have done the hard work so you don't have to and put together a list.


Malmöhagen Eurovision Pre-Party - 4 May


Many of us will be flying into Copenhagen before taking the journey across to Malmö.


For those lucky enough to be staying in Copenhagen on 4 May, you will have your own pre-party - but tickets are limited.


So far, the confirmed acts include:

Eurovision Village - 4 to 11 May


This year's Eurovision Village will be located at Folkets Park ("People's Park") which is conveniently located in between Malmö Central Station and the Malmö Arena.


Malena Ernman, who represented Sweden in Eurovision 2009 (also famously known for being Greta Thunberg's mum) will officially open Eurovision Village on 4 May at 3pm and perform with the Malmö Magical Gospel Group.


For those not lucky enough to score tickets to some of the shows, the Eurovision Village is a great spot to go as the Village will have multiple screens for the public. The Village is free however on the Grand Final night, it is a ticketed event.


The Eurovision Village will showcase an incredibly diverse line up of performers and things to do which will of course include previous Eurovision artists with the Village having several stages and street performers (as well as food).


On the arts and performing arts side of things, the Malmö Eurovision Village will have a plethora of family friendly events such as a mini circus workshop, art workshops, a roller disco (for kids and adults), fashion, yoga, dancing and even hobby horsing (yep!) .

There will also be ongoing performances from local Malmö performers covering a wide range of different music genres including drag queens, country, brass bands, orchestras, blues and of course lots and lots of DJs.


There will also be a "Eurovision Street" located between Triangeln Station and the Village featuring all things Eurovision which is sure to get fans in the mood as they make their way to the Village. There is literally something for everyone!

Some of the notable artists that will be performing on the "Euphoria Stage" at the Eurovision Village include:


  • Dotter (Melodifestivalen 2018, 2020, 2021, 2024) - 4 May - 7pm

  • Conchita Wurst (Austria 2014) - 6 May - 9pm

  • Go_A (Ukraine 2020 and 2021) - 7 May - 5pm.


And not to forget, there will of course also be multiple tributes to ABBA.

EuroClub 2024 - 4 to 11 May


This year the EuroClub will be hosted by OGAE Sweden and will be held at Malmö Live Congress and Concert Hall. This is a great place for delegations to go and hang out and for fans to mingle and maybe even meet some artists.


While we do not yet have any details on who is going to be performing at EuroClub, what we do is know that "Malmö Live" is where the Turquoise carpet, opening ceremony, EuroClub and closing Grand Final Party will be held. You can keep an eye on announcements as well as look at ticketing options here.


The opening hours for EuroClub are:


  • Saturday 4 May, from 10pm – 5am

  • Sunday 5 May, from 10am5am

  • Monday 6 May, from 10pm5am

  • Tuesday 7 May, from 11pm5am

  • Wednesday 8 May, from 10pm5am

  • Thursday 9 May, from 11pm5am

  • Friday 10 May, from 10pm5am

  • Saturday 11 May - Grand Final Party (SOLD OUT)



Euro Fan Cafe - 2 to 11 May


This year's Euro Fan Café will take place at "Moriska Paviljongen", located in Eurovision Village. The Cafe will be open at 11am each day and is ran across four spaces in the venue and is a great way to start your day. Euro Fan Cafe is limited to over 18 years old. Tickets are available here.



EUROfansCLUB - Malmo - 6 to 11 May


Over six nights EUROfansCLUB Malmo will be held at Etage Club Malmo and will host a range of different themed nights. The club will be held over four floors, including one floor designated as a chill out area should you feel the need to sit back and relax and take it all in. The different nights are:


Opening night - 6 May from 9.30pm

Euro Justice - 7 May from 8pm

Wiwi Jam - 8 May from 9.30pm

Euro Queens Night - 9 May from 8pm

Petitvision - 10 May from 9.30pm

Celebration Night - 11 May from 8pm


While the weekly pass and Celebration Night tickets are sold out, you can still grab yourself individual night tickets here.



EUROfansCLUB - Copenhagen - 7 to 11 May


If you are staying in Copenhagen you are in luck as EUROfansCLUB also have a club in Copenhagen which is being held in Play Club.


The themed nights in Copenhagen are similar to Malmo:


Wiwi Jam - 7 May from 8pm

Euro Justice - 8 May from 9pm

Euro Queens Night - 9 May from 8pm

Petitvision - 10 May from 9pm

Celebration Night - 11 May from 8pm

While the weekly pass and Celebration Night are sold out, you can still get single night tickets here.



Eurovision Song Contest 2024 - Malmö Arena


Malmö Arena is the host venue for the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest. While tickets are scarce, the odd ticket is still available through resale.


If you do miss out, there will be many other places across the city to view the shows such as Eurovision Village where you can experience the fun that Eurovision fans bring to this event.


This is the second time that the arena has hosted the Eurovision Song Contest (2013).



The Malmö Arena will host the following events over the Eurovision week:


Semi-Final 1

  • Monday, May 6 - evening preview

  • Tuesday, May 7 - afternoon preview

  • Tuesday, May 7 - live show


Semi-Final 2

  • Wednesday, May 8 - evening preview

  • Thursday, May 9 - afternoon preview

  • Thursday, May 9 - live show


Grand Final

  • Friday, May 10 - evening preview

  • Saturday, May 11 - afternoon preview

  • Saturday, May 11 - live show
