This morning Australian time (evening in Europe) the Eurovision 2024 semi-final allocation draw took place in Malmö, Sweden.
The draw was hosted by Pernilla Månsson Colt, who oversaw the allocation draw back in 2013 too, and Farah Abadi and saw 15 nations placed in semi-final 1 and 16 nations in semi-final 2.
Australia will be compete in semi-final 1 in the second half of the show.

Countries were placed in these pots to help reduce the chance of neighbour or "bloc" voting.
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 7, 9 and 11 May in Malmö, Sweden,
Australia will choose our artist and song internally with SBS expected to make an announcement by March.
