This morning Australian time (evening in Europe) the Eurovision 2023 semi-final allocation draw took place in Liverpool, UK.
The draw was hosted by AJ Odudu and Rylan and saw 15 nations placed in semi-final 1 and 16 nations in semi-final 2.
Australia will be compete in semi-final 2 in the second half of the show.

Countries are placed in these pots to help reduce the chance of neighbour or "bloc" voting.
The Eurovision Song Contest will take place on the 9, 11 and 13 May in Liverpool, UK, hosting on behalf of Ukraine.
Australia will choose our artist and song internally with SBS expected to make an announcement by March.
