For over the last few weeks Iceland put 10 acts through their paces in their National Final ‘Söngvakeppnin 2020’ in selecting their Eurovision 2020 representative.
Over two semi finals five acts progressed through to the Final which was held on February 29 in Europe (March 1 in Australia).
In what was a strong national final, it all came down to the two acts who proceeded to the Superfinal, the quirky green clad Daði & Gagnamagnið and the Icelandic rock band DIMMA.
At the end the hot fan favourite Daði & Gagnamagnið won the whole contest. ‘Think About Things’ became ‘viral’ over the last fortnight and gained a lot of fans long the way.
It is a sweet win for Daði & Gagnamagnið who was runner up in 'Söngvakeppnin 2017' to Svala who went on to represent Iceland in Euroviosn 2017 with 'Paper'.
Daði & Gagnamagnið will now represent Iceland in the Eurovision Song Contest 2020 in Rotterdam.
