Tomorrow morning, Croatian broadcaster HRT will choose its representative to the Eurovision Song Contest 2021 through its long-running national final Dora.
A total of fourteen participants will take part in the national final on Sunday morning, with the winner being selected by a 50/50 split of both jury and public voting. The participants will also need to bring a negative COVID-19 test to Opatija before they can take to the Dora stage.
Three clear favourites have emerged in the last week since the song snippets were released, with Eurovision fans favouring Nina Kraljić’s ‘Rijeka’, Bernarda’s ‘Colors’, and Mia Negovetić’s ‘She’s Like a Dream’.
The show will begin at 06:10 AEDT, and is expected to run for approximately two hours.
The running order of the show tomorrow morning is as follows:
Nina Kraljić (Alkonost of Balkan)
Ashley Colburn & Bojan Jambrošić
Tony Cetinski & Kiki Rahimovski
During the week, HRT also released pictures of the Dora 2021 stage. The stage is larger than in previous years, in order to make up for the lack of audience at the show due to pandemic-related restrictions. Dora’s producer, Kazimir Bačić, stated:
“As there will be no audience in the hall, the stage will be bigger and richer”
The show will be hosted by Daniela Trbović, Barbara Kolar, Jelena Lešić, and Doris Pinčić Rogoznica from the Marino Cvetković Sports Hall in Opatija. Jelena and Doris were the hosts of the show last year.
It has also been announced that Vesna Pisarović, who won Dora in 2002 and represented Croatia at the Eurovision Song Contest in Tallinn, will be the interval act at Dora tomorrow morning.
International fans of Dora will be able to watch the show on the HRT website (https://hrti.hrt.hr/home). Fans should note that it will be necessary to create an account, which can be done by clicking on the person icon in the top right corner.
Dora 2021 will be broadcast on Croatian broadcaster HRT in the morning on February 14 (the evening of February 13 in Europe).
