Belgium: Mustii releases his Eurovision 2024 song 'Before the Party's Over'

Belgian artist Mustii has today released the song that will represent Belgium at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö, 'Before the Party's Over'.

The song debuted on Belgian radio station VivaCité this evening in Australia - although some eagle-eyed fans got a sneak preview after the song was unexpectedly played on RTBF radio station Tipik two days before its scheduled release.

'Before the Party's Over' is a dark electro number penned by Mustii himself along with songwriters Pierre Dumoulin (known to fans for previous Belgian Eurovision entries 'City Lights' and "Wake Up') and Nina Sampermans ('Tout l'univers', 'Bridges').

As part of the project, Mustii also invited Eurovision fans to submit their voices as part of the chorus which can be heard all throughout the final minute of the song.

Mustii was the first artist announced for Eurovision 2024, with RTBF announcing his selection way back in August 2023.

The 32-year-old Brussels-based artist has released two EPs and two albums, '21st Century Boy' (2018) and 'Mustii' (2023) - the latter of which peaked at No. 4 on the Belgian charts. His most recent single, from the self-titled second album, is 'It's Happening Now'.

For many Eurovision fans, though, Mustii will be best-known from his role as regular judge and panellist on Drag Race Belgique, the Belgian version of RuPaul's Drag Race.

Belgium will compete in the second semifinal of Eurovision 2024, due to be broadcast on 9 May 2024 (10 May 2024 in Australia).
