Australia's Eurovision 2024 Jury revealed

Following this morning's Grand Final of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest, the EBU has revealed the members of each country's jury!

  • Musician Mason Watts

  • Journalist Jane Albert

  • Music and broadcasting executive Meagan Loader

  • Singer-songwriter Mia Rodriguez

Alfie Arcuri

Alfie Arcuri is a singer-songwriter best known in Australia for winning the fifth season of 'The Voice' in 2016. He competed in the inaugural final of 'Eurovision - Australia Decides' in 2019 with 'To Myself', finishing fifth. Alfie co-wrote Cyprus' 2020 Eurovision entry 'Running' by Sandro Nicolas, and also attempted to represent San Marino in 2023, qualifying for the final with 'Collide'. Last night he took part in a live performance and podcast recording with Aussievision's Dale and Mike filmed at the National Film and Sound Archive in Canberra.

Mason Watts

Musician Mason Watts hails from South-East Queensland and released debut album 'The Afterlove' in 2021. Having just wrapped up a European tour, he recently supported Chris Isaak at A Day on the Green in Brisbane. Single 'Growing Pains' has over 100,000 Spotify streams with most recent single 'In Your Arms' released in March of this year.

Jane Albert

Jane Albert is a Sydney-based arts and features writer who covers theatre, dance, film, music and visual arts. Her family ran music publishing business J. Albert which she wrote about in her book 'House of Hits' (2010). She worked for eight years on the arts desk at the Australian newspaper before leaving to pursue life as a freelance journalist. Jane is a regular contributor to the Weekend Australian, the Sydney Morning Herald, Broadsheet (Sydney), Harper’s Bazaar and Vogue Australia, Limelight and Wish magazine.

Meagan Loader

Meagan was announced last month as the new Chief Curator at the National Film and Sound Archive. Her most recent role as Head of Music & Creative Developments at the ABC saw her overseeing digital, radio, podcast and TV content across networks including triple j, Double J, rage, ABC Classic, ABC Country, and ABC Jazz. Loader was also the founding Station Director of independent youth broadcaster FBI Radio when the network launched in 2003.

Mia Rodriguez

Singer-songwriter Mia Rodriguez began releasing music in 2019. Signed with City Pop Records, she has released eight singles, with 2020's 'Psycho' having over 44 million Spotify streams and 29 million YouTube views. She won 'Best New Artist' at the 2021 Rolling Stone Australia Awards and was also nominated as 'Unearthed Artist of the Year' at the J Awards of 2020.
