AIDAN releases his second studio album Cowboys Don't Cry ahead of Eurovision 2026

Malta's Eurovision 2026 artist AIDAN has released his second studio album Cowboys Don't Cry during a massive campaign ahead of the Contest in Vienna in May.
Years in the making
In the lead up to the release AIDAN revealed that his follow up studio album to his debut This Is Aidan (2023), will feature 12 songs including his Eurovision 2026 entry Bella and the single Cowboys Don't Cry, which he released last week.
On his socials he shared that the new album was three years in the making where he wrote over 60 songs for it.
A major collaborator on the album is Joep van den Boom a Dutch songwriter, composer and music producer.
Joep van den Boom also co-wrote Bella with Aidan and Maltese Eurovision 2024 artist Sarah Bonnici.
Huge promotional tour across Europe
AIDAN was selected to represent Malta back in mid January when he won the national final Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2026 with the emotive ballad Bella.
Since then the young talent has promoted his Eurovision entry at national finals in Bulgaria, Lithuania and San Marino.
A week ago AIDAN then began the Eurovision pre-party circuit in Greece where he travelled to Thessaloniki to perform Bella and Cowboys Don't Cry at the Eurovision Party SKG.
This weekend AIDAN will be performing at the Nordic Eurovision Party in Oslo where he will be joined by 16 other Eurovision 2026 artists including our own Delta Goodrem who is representing Australia in Vienna with Eclipse.
AIDAN makes history
In huge news this week AIDAN announced that he will be travelling to Australia for promotional shows.
This marks the first time ever an artist has visited Australia during the Eurovision promotional period ahead of a Contest.
The shows are being held by Viva Malta Events who stated:
"Eurovision 2026 representative, AIDAN, is coming to Australia for exclusive FREE meet & greet appearances in Melbourne and Sydney.
Join us for a special night with one of Malta’s biggest local stars, performing live and connecting with fans in an intimate setting.
This is a rare opportunity to experience AIDAN up close, meet the artist, and be part of a memorable night with the Maltese community." At Eurovision AIDAN will be performing in semi-final 2, the same show as Australia.
There were almost 200,000 Australians with Maltese descent in the 2021 census. This is the highest amount of any country outside Malta itself.
Australia and Malta have shared votes with each other over the years, so this could be a strong move in hopes of qualifying for the Grand Final.
