ABBA's new album 'Voyage' set for global chart domination

Who would have imagined that in the 2020's we would be experiencing "ABBA-mania" once again!

40 years since the band split, the Swedish Eurovision 1974 winning artists, ABBA, have returned with 'Voyage', their ninth studio album release.

It did not take long for ABBA's new album to make an impact online.

'Voyage' managed to knock off Ed Sheeran's new release '=' from the top spot of the worldwide iTunes album chart, where it still remains at No. 1. The album also shot to the top of the iTunes album charts in over 50 countries.

Impressively the Swedish group have also made a huge impact on the Spotify streaming charts.

On Spotify, songs from 'Voyage' charted on the Top 200 Daily charts with the previous singles 'I Still Have Faith In You', 'Don't Shut Me Down' and 'Just A Notion' making a resurgence of daily streams.

All ten songs from 'Voyage' appeared on the Spotify Top 200 Daily charts in Austria, Belgium, Switzerland, Germany, Denmark, Finland, Ireland, Latvia, The Netherlands, Sweden and Norway.

The most streamed non-single off the album is 'When You Danced With Me', peaking at No. 70 on the Spotify Top 200 Global Daily chart and charting in 18 countries on Spotify.

'When You Danced With Me' has peaked in the top 30 in Sweden (No. 1), Norway (No. 25), Finland (No. 30), and Switzerland (No. 23).

In Sweden all the songs on 'Voyage' knocked off Adele's 'Easy On Me' to take up the top 10 on Sweden's Spotify Top 200 Daily chart on November 5.

'Voyage' is expected to make strong album chart debuts.

In Australia ARIA revealed in their mid-week top debuts update that ABBA are set to "make chart history". The Swedish band is expected to take the No.1 spot on the ARIA album chart which if achieved will be the bands first No. 1 album in 30 years. The band's 'ABBA Gold & More (Anniversary Edition)' compilation is expected to make a jump in the album chart returning to the top 50.

In the United States, Billboard are predicting a top 5 spot for 'Voyage' on the Billboard 200 with an expected place at No. 2. If ABBA make the top 5 in the United States it will be their most successful album there to date.

During ABBA's career they have had four studio albums reach the Billboard 200 top 20 with 'ABBA: The Album' reaching No. 14.

Hit Daily Double have predicted 'Voyage' to sell 75-85K copies in the United States, during the November 5-11 tracking period.

In the United Kingdom 'Voyage' is expected to comfortably cruise at No.1 on the albums chart and give the band their 10th No. 1.

ABBA have accumulated five No. 1 studio albums and four No. 1 compilation albums in the UK. Their last studio album No. 1 was 'The Visitors' in 1981.

As of mid-week, according to Billboard, ABBA's new studio album is outselling the rest of the UK's Top 40 album chart combined. So far it has accumulated over 118,000 unit sales and by the end of the week be the biggest first-week sales of 2021. It is the the fastest-selling physical release and biggest first-week pure sales.

With strong physical and digital sales and online streaming, 'Voyage' should be making some strong debuts around the world for ABBA. The band have managed to please their diehard fans while at the same time exposing their music to a younger generation.
