The returning artists of Eurovision 2024

Most years there are artists competing at Eurovision who have done it all before.

Last year was a great example with Loreen winning it for the second time while other artists like Marco Mengoni finished Top 10 for the second time. Additionally, Monika Linkytė and Pasha Parfeni returned to qualify for the second time in two attempts.

So who is back for another crack at Eurovision in 2024?

Hera Björk (Iceland)

Hera competed at Eurovision in 2010 with banger that was 'Je ne sais quo.'

After placing 3rd in the semi-final she ultimately finished 19th in the final. However, the song was much-loved and became a fan favourite.

She made her return this year by winning Söngvakeppnin 2024, the Icelandic national selection show.

Her song 'Scared of Heights' won over Bashar Murad's track 'Wild West' 100k votes to 97k in a close run affair.

Hera spoke to Aussievision about returning to Eurovision this year.

'I really feel that I'm relaxed, and I am enjoying this more, enjoying it in the way that I'm not stressing about all the small things you don't know beforehand," she said.

"It's like when you travel to a new city, it's like coming to an airport that you know, you know where to get your luggage, you know how to get the metro, it's just [easier]."

Hera will perform in the first semi-final on Tuesday (Wednesday morning in Australia).

Natalia Barbu (Moldova)

It may be 14 years between drinks for Hera but it is even longer for Natalia.

She first represented Moldova back in 2007 with the song 'Fight' placing 10th in the final.

This year she won the Etapa națională 2024, the Moldovan selection for Eurovision with 'In the Middle.'

She tied for first place but won the tiebreak based on the jury selection.

Natalia will also perform in the first semi-final on Tuesday (Wednesday morning in Australia).
