All songs for Eurovision 2026 are out, so how is Australia's entry by Delta Goodrem faring against them all?

Last week the final songs for Eurovision 2026 were finally all revealead.

This included revamps and updates for songs which means Eurovision fans are now busy ranking, analysing and predicting how they will all do in May.

So where does that leave Australia's Delta Goodrem?

She made a splash when first announced but did the momentum carry through?

Let's take a look at some key indicators.

Odds

Delta reached as high as third place in the odds but has settled into a very respectable fifth-favourite to win Eurovision.

The winning percentage has dropped, caused by more nations revealing or choosing their entry like France and Sweden. However, her solid position in the Top 5 has stayed consistent throughout.

The odds have infamously got things very wrong at this stage of the season before, however, in more recenty years they have been quite accurate.

If you want to win Eurovision you should be high in the odds at this stage. So Delta is sitting in a very nice spot right now.

My Eurovision Scoreboard

This is the most popular app for fans to enter their top 10 songs for an overall tally of fan sentiment.

Currently with over 36,000 individuals voting, Australia sits in 9th place with Finland, Denmark and Sweden out in front.

This may sound like a good sample size for a public vote, and it is, however it does hide some issues:

  • You can vote for your own country

  • It uses a 12 points down to 1 point system which individual fans can't do at Eurovision

  • It's often the very eager fans participating and their taste can be vastly different than more 'mainstream' fans

Regardless, Delta and Australia being in the Top 10 is still an excellent result.

Eurovision World poll

This fan poll on the very popular Eurovision World site, doesn't allow fans to vote for their own country.

It also asks who 'should' win Eurovision rather than your favourite. That can be more up to interpretation, with some voting for who they think could win while others will still stick to their own No.1

In this poll, Australia's Delta Goodrem ranks 6th.

  1. Finland 22%

  2. Denmark 12%

  3. Sweden 6%

  4. France 6%

  5. Greece 5%

  6. Australia 4%

  7. Cyprus 4%

  8. Serbia 4%

  9. Croatia 3%

  10. Romania 3%

A similar result to the odds, which again is a great starting point at this stage of the season.

So what does this all mean?

Ultimately where you rank in odds, favourites or predictions really won't determine that you will win Eurovision.

However, it has been a very long time since an outsider took out the Contest, so really these indicate if you can't win Eurovision (or get close).

Australia's entry Eclipse has ranked in the Top 5 or Top 10 in each which means we have a solid base to build on for Vienna.

It's a little like qualifying in motorsport, getting pole position doesn't guarantee a win but being towards the bottom of the grid almost rules you out before the race starts.

It'll now come down to the live performance and staging plus how everybody else does and sometimes just a little bit of luck.

But at this stage, we aren't out of the race and we can all hang on to a little hope and anticipation.
