In our annual post-Eurovision fan survey, we asked Australian Eurovision fans the big question: who should represent Australia next?

The poll was part of our wider, detailed Eurovision 2026 fan survey that received more than 300 responses.

And, following the poll's success in recent years, the results suddenly feel a lot more significant.

The poll has a 75% success rate

Delta Goodrem topped our fan wishlist in both 2024 and 2025 before ultimately being selected to represent Australia at Eurovision 2026 with Eclipse.

Voyager finished second in our 2022 poll before being selected to represent Australia at Eurovision 2023, while Electric Fields topped the 2023 list and went on to fly the flag in Malmö the very next year.

Of course, the survey doesn't always get it right.

Go-Jo barely featured in last year's conversation before emerging as Australia's Eurovision 2025 act and becoming one of the breakout names of the season.

Still, Aussie fans have proven to be surprisingly good at spotting future representatives before SBS makes the call.

Who should follow Delta?

So now the attention turns to one big question: who could follow Delta Goodrem onto the Eurovision stage?

We do need to note that SBS has not yet confirmed Australia's participation in Eurovision 2027.

But that hasn't stopped fans from dreaming big about who they want to see represent the nation next.

We've counted down the Top 10 artists Australian Eurovision fans most want to see at Eurovision in the future, and here are the results (with last year's ranking in brackets):

10. Samantha Jade [12]

Samantha Jade climbs back into the Top 10 after finishing 12th with fans last year.

The singer rose to fame after winning X Factor Australia in 2012 and went on to release a string of pop hits, including What You've Done to Me, Firestarter and Sweet Talk. Her most recent single is Very That! released this year.

While she has never officially entered the Eurovision selection process, Samantha has long been a popular fan-cast among Aussie Eurovision viewers thanks to her polished dance-pop sound and strong live performances.

9. Troye Sivan [20]

Troye Sivan makes one of the biggest jumps in this year's poll, rising from No.20 into the Top 10.

The Perth-born global star has become one of Australia's biggest music exports with hits including Rush, One of Your Girls and My My My!

His visually ambitious performances and huge international fanbase make him one of the most intriguing possibilities fans could imagine for Eurovision, even if the chances of it happening remain slim.

8. Jaguar Jonze [6]

Eurovision fans will be very familiar with Jaguar Jonze thanks to two appearances at Eurovision - Australia Decides. In 2020, she finished 6th with Rabbit Hole and returned in 2021 with Little Fires, finishing 3rd after winning the jury vote.

She has been a huge advocate for sexual assault victims and won the Women In Music Changemaker Award for her work.

She continues to release music, including a new single Naked this year.

7. Ricki-Lee [5]

Ricki-Lee took part in Australian Idol in 2004 and went on to join the Young Divas, a group that also included Paulini and Jessica Mauboy. She then had solo success throughout the late 2000s and early 2010s with many hits charting in the Top 20, including Can't Touch This, Do It Like That and Raining Diamonds.

She's also had a successful TV career hosting Australia's Got Talent and Australian Idol. Ricki-Lee was a rumoured artist for the cancelled Australia Decides 2023 and for Eurovision 2024, with her song On My Own sounding very "Eurovision."

However, any Eurovision commitment would clash with her successful radio career, where she hosts Sydney's breakfast program on Nova 96.9.

6. Sheppard [3]

Sheppard finish inside the Top 10 for another year, after reaching a high of No.3 last year, assisted by their involvement in Australia's 2025 entry.

The group co-wrote Milkshake Man, and George from the band was in Basel, providing backing vocals.

The group finished 3rd at the inaugural Eurovision - Australia Decides with their song On My Way.

That song has racked up 38 million Spotify streams, the most of any Eurovision or Australia Decides song from Australia, but doesn't compare to their smash hit Geronimo, which has over 700 million

Collectively across Spotify, Apple and YouTube, the song has over 1 billion streams.

The group also put forward the song Edge of the Earth for Eurovision 2024, but internal selectors went with Electric Fields.

The group continue to tour internationally and pump out new music, including Sayonara released this year.

Could they finally make the Eurovision stage themselves?

5. Delta Goodrem [1]

After topping the fan poll two years running, Delta drops to fifth following her Eurovision 2026 appearance with Eclipse.

The drop does not come from her performance but by fans now looking at who else could take the stage.

In Vienna, she did Australia proud, finishing 4th, our second-highest position ever.

She has sold over 8 million records worldwide and will release her ninth studio album Pure this November.

It is highly doubtful the singer would return the following year with the commitment of Eurovision many months long.

But perhaps she'll be involved in the future in other ways, from songwriting to creative direction?

4. Kylie Minogue [4]

An international superstar that fans have consistently wanted to appear at Eurovision, Kylie Minogue remains at No.4 this year.

Kylie had a Padam Padam-inspired renaissance in recent years and has continued touring the world throughout 2025 and 2026. She even had her own Netflix documentary release this month.

However, as much as fans in both Australia and Europe would love to see her there, the chances are extremely low. Kylie herself said in 2015 that “I would be way too nervous. I think I would be terrified. I don’t think it’s for me.”

3. Casey Donovan [7]

Casey Donovan jumps back into the Top 3 after finishing seventh last year.

Casey became a household name after winning the second season of Australian Idol back in 2004. After releasing music through the 2000s her focus shifted to musical theatre and television.

In the last few years, she has taken starring roles in Sister Act, 9 to 5 and Chicago. She also took part in Eurovision - Australia Decides in 2020 with Proud, finishing runner-up despite winning the public vote.

She is currently on a national tour and would no doubt be a popular selection.

2 .Dami Im [2]

A decade after her incredible Eurovision result, Aussie fans are still eager to see Dami Im return to the Contest.

After winning X Factor Australia in 2013, Dami went on to an incredible runner-up finish at Eurovision 2016 with Sound of Silence.

She did previously announce she would make a return to Eurovision - Australia Decides in 2021, but that was thwarted because of the pandemic. She was also heavily rumoured to take part in the cancelled Australia Decides 2023 as well as Eurovision 2024.

2026 marked 10 years since her Stockholm result, and she delivered the votes for Australia.

She is on a national tour this winter, is releasing new music and fan support clearly remains as strong as ever.

1. The Veronicas [8]

The Veronicas surge from eighth place last year to top this year's fan survey.

The Veronicas are a pop duo of twins, Lisa and Jessica Origliasso, from Brisbane. They are best known for their 2007 global hit Untouched that went Top 10 in Australia, UK, Canada and Ireland and reached no.17 in the United States.

They have released five albums since then, including three in the 2020s, with the most recent Gothic Summer in 2024. All three went Top 10 in Australia, and they continue to produce new music and tour across the country.

They also recently took part in Triple J's Like a Version, covering Sombr's 12 to 12 and also performing Untouched.

Their rise to No.1 suggests fans increasingly see the duo as a genuine Eurovision possibility to finally make the leap from fan favourite to Australia's representative.

The artists and acts finishing 11th to 20th with Aussie fans were:

11. Anthony Callea [-]

12. Sia [-]

13. Tina Arena [-]

14. Vanessa Amorosi [9]

15. G Flip [19]

16. Tones and I [11]

17. Jude York [-]

18. Peach PRC [-]

19. Playlunch [-]

20. Baker Boy [10]

Outside the big names and those usually put up included some more contemporary names, including G Flip, Peach PRC and Baker Boy.

Playlunch was the surprise packet; the Melbourne indie-pop band are known for their quirky humour, colourful visuals and offbeat online presence. The group have built a growing cult following through tracks like Foam, Station Rat and Keith. Though their liberal use of the word c**t may not really fit the Eurovision stage.

Fans call out for something new

One name that would have made the Top 10 is one that does not exist. For the first time we saw many fans say they wanted "someone they never heard of" or a "new up and comer."

This wildcard factor may be what Australia needs to win the Eurovision trophy one day. Platforms like Australia Decides to unearth talent not seen in the mainstream before, including Voyager, Electric Fields, Andrew Lambrou and Jaguar Jonze.

Could Australia's next Eurovision star be waiting in the wings, not given a chance?

Other names just missing the cut

Many talented artists and new names just missed the Top 20.

Amyl and the Sniffers, Budjerah, Harlan Goode, Matt Corby, Vera Blue, Genesis Owusu, Hilltop Hoods, The Presets, Ruel, Blusher, Gotye, Ninajirachi, Tame Impala, Reigan Derry, Marshall Hamburge, Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers and Vance Joy.

So, will we see these artists perform for Australia at Eurovision in the future?

We'll have to wait for Bulgaria 2027 to find out!
