Who boosted their profile the most over the Eurovision season? We see which 2026 artists gained the most followers.

There's a saying that you don't need to win Eurovision to win Eurovision.

While only one artist lifts the trophy, many leave the contest with new fans, increased exposure, and a larger platform to promote their music and boost their careers.

One of the clearest ways to measure that impact is through social media.

Instagram remains one of the most important tools for Eurovision artists, helping them build their campaign before the contest and connect with fans long afterwards.

Using data collected from March 24 through to the end of the Eurovision 2026 season (June 3), we've tracked which artists gained the most followers and where they rank overall.

A note on Germany's Sarah Engels: when we first collected the data, her account was listed as approximately 1.8 million followers rather than an exact figure. Because of this, we cannot accurately calculate her overall growth. However, it appears she gained roughly up to 50,000 followers during the Eurovision season.

By some distance, Eurovision 2026's biggest Instagram success story was Bulgaria's Dara.

The Eurovision winner added an extraordinary 743,000 followers during the season, taking her account from around 173,000 followers before Eurovision to more than 900,000 today.

It is a remarkable example of the power Eurovision still has as a platform for artists.

While only one act can lift the trophy, many artists use Eurovision to reach millions of new listeners, grow their followers by thousands, tens of thousands and even hundred of thousands.

Eurovision is a platform to build their profile internationally and create opportunities that extend well beyond the contest itself.
