Victoria Georgieva to represent Bulgaria at Eurovision 2020

Today Bulgaria announced their artist for Eurovision 2020 and it's VICTORIA aka Victoria Georgieva.

She told Bulgarian broadcaster BNT, “In the beginning of 2019, I just couldn’t imagine how many opportunities will open up for me. I am proud to be the Bulgarian artist in Rotterdam. I am privileged to be able to make music that I believe in and to have the freedom to be who I am."

The 22-year-old competed on the X Factor Bulgaria in 2015 finishing 6th (the same year Kristian Kostov finished runner-up) and went on to release her debut single in 2016.

She was compared to Adele and sang a number of her songs on the show. Here's a live version of 'Hello'.

Her most recent work, 'I Wanna Know', is her first single in English and was earlier released this year. Watch her perform below.

Bulgaria made their Eurovision debut in 2005 and have competed on 12 occasions. Their best result was 2nd place in 2017 with Kristian Kostov's 'Beautiful Mess'.

Bulgaria pulled out of the 2019 contest and will make their return with Victoria in Rotterdam next May.
