Ulrikke will represent Norway in Rotterdam after a dramatic Melodi Grand Prix Final

In a dramatic Norwegian 'Melodi Grand Prix' national final 24-year-old Ulrikke Brandstorp won her ticket to Rotterdam.

After the 10 acts performed the internet voting went down meaning the broadcaster had to use a back-up popular jury.

This saw these four acts through with big favourite Rein Alexander missing out:

  • Liza Vassilieva - 'I am Gay'

  • Raylee - 'Wild'

  • Kristin Husøy - 'Pray for Me'

  • Ulrikke Brandstorp - 'Attention'

Going on to the Gold Duel was Kristin Husøy and Ulrikke Brandstorp.

Down by 27,000 going in to the final region of Norway, Ulrikke overcame the deficit to win by just over 5,000 votes and book her place in Rotterdam!

The song 'Attention' was co-written by Mørland who represented Norway at Eurovision in 2015 with 'A Monster Like Me'.

Ulrikke had previously finished 4th at Melodi Grand Prix in 2017 with 'Places'.

Norway have won the Eurovision Song Contest three times and have made the top 10 in five of the last seven years.
