Ukraine has once again delivered an amazing edition of their national final 'Vidbir', where eleven acts performed with the hope of being selected to represent Ukraine in Malmö at the 68th Eurovision Song Contest.
Whilst Ukraine is still in the midst of war, the national broadcaster went to extraordinary lengths to be able to stage 'Vidbir', with this edition's performances being pre-recorded a day early and then presenting the results live from a bomb shelter in Kyiv.
The show clocked in at over five hours long which was due to the voting app crashing and leaving the results to be revealed 24 hours later after a replay presentation of the performances.
But despite the extraordinary circumstances, this year's final was a high-quality affair that saw fan favourite Jerry Heil & Alyona Alyona win it all and will go on to represent Ukraine in Sweden.
After the voting system crashed almost instantly and extended the show's run time to over four hours, Ukraine had come to a decision and selected their new Eurovision representative.
The winning song, 'Teresa & Maria' has dominated streaming numbers and fan polls pre-Vidbir. Jerry Heil & Alyona Alyona took 2nd in the Jury and top spot in the televote scores with seven times more public votes than 2nd place received.
