Ukraine: Artists announced for 'Vidbir 2023'



Ukrainian Broadcaster Suspline has today announced the ten acts for 'Vidbir 2023', in the running to represent Ukraine in Liverpool as the reigning champions of Eurovision. They previously announced a long list of artists which has now been whittled down to the ten competing entries.


The artists and their songs competing are:

  1. 2TONE - 'Квітка' (The Flower)

  2. Angelina - 'Stronger'

  3. DEMCHUK - 'Alive'

  4. FIINKA - 'Довбуш' (Dovbush)

  5. Jerry Heil - 'When God Shut the Door'

  6. KRUTЬ - 'Колискова' (Koliskova)

  7. Moisei - 'I'm Not Alone'

  8. OY Sound System - 'Ой, тужу' (Oy, tuzhu)

  9. Tember Blanche - 'Я вдома' (I'm Home)

  10. TVORCHI - 'Heart Of Steel'

Interestingly, three of the competing artists in this upcoming edition of Vidbir also competed in the 2020 competition.


Jerry Heil, KRUTЬ and TVORCHI all competed in 'Vidbir' 2020 with their songs, VEGAN, 99 and Bonfire respectively.



The winner will be decided by a split vote by jury and televote.


Earlier this month the 'Vidbir' jury members were selected via an online vote.


The public decided that the three members of the Jury are:

  1. Tara Topolya - Lead singer of Antitila band

  2. Jamala - Eurovision 2016 winner

  3. Yulia Sanina - Lead singer of THE HARDKISS

The Ukrainian national final to find Kalush Orchestra's successor will take place on December 17, which was previously announced to be held in an underground bunker for safety precautions.
