UK Eurovision 2026 representative Sam Battle, known as Look Mum No Computer, has welcomed a baby boy over a month out from the Contest.

The artist shared the news on Instagram, revealing his son Max had been born “happy healthy” and that he would be back soon.

The arrival adds an unexpected personal dimension to the UK’s Eurovision campaign, with Sam now balancing preparations for the 2026 contest alongside becoming a first-time father.

His partner, Melanie King, had recently hinted the birth was close, sharing she was “36w pregnant” during a visit to Elmley National Nature Reserve on March 19.

She wrote: “It was so amazing to watch the birds from the bath, all I want is to be in water right now.”

With Eurovision fast approaching, attention will now turn to how the UK act’s preparations unfold in the lead-up to the contest.

Look Mum No Computer's entry has already generated buzz for its experimental style.

The song finished in the Top 10 of the Aussievision team rankings and also in our public poll.

Perhaps becoming a father will create even more buzz and inspire Sam for his Eurovision 2026 campaign.
