Top 10 Eurovision 2021 songs on TikTok



TikTok has become the latest popular online platform for content creators to go viral on, with it's dance challenges and short videos making an impact on pop culture and the music charts.


Over the last year the Eurovision 2019 winning song, 'Arcade' by Duncan Laurence has seen a resurgence and appearance on the music charts around the world. The songs success can be attributed to its appearance on TikTok stemmed from Harry Potter fans who were making videos using cut scenes from the Harry Potter films to show case the good in Draco Malfoy's character.


'Arcade' has been featured in a total of 1.2 million videos on TikTok, with Duncan Laurence's duet with FLETCHER accumulating over 683.2k videos as of May 6 2021.


The momentum behind the song has seen 'Arcade' land in the US Billboard Hot 100. The last time a Eurovision song appeared on the Hot 100 was way back in 1997 when the United Kingdom's Eurovision 1996 entry 'Ooh Aah... Just a Little Bit' charted on the Hot 100 peaking at No. 12.


A few other Eurovision songs have seen some measured success on TikTok.


With one of last years favourite to win the Eurovision 2020 contest 'Think About Things' accumulating over 88k videos. Other favourites like Diodato's 'Fai rumore' has over 32.0k videos and The Roop's 'On Fire' managed to feature in over 5k videos.


This year, Germany's Eurovision representative Jendrik used the TikTok platform to garner support in his dream to go to Eurovision! Several free washing machines later, a music video and the use of a ukulele made it work! With his whole Eurovision journey documented in the awesome videos on TikTok.

Given all the buzz around TikTok and Eurovision right now we thought we would look at the current top 10 Eurovision 2021 songs on TikTok as of May 6 2021 before the contest gets fully underway.

The overall current success with the songs from Eurovision 2021 seems to stem from the songs being selected through popular national finals with a huge fanbase, like 'Voices' by Tusse from Melodifestivalen 2021 and 'Zitti e buoni' by Måneskin from Italy's Sanremo.
