Following her January selection by Swiss broadcaster SRG SSR, Veronica Fusaro has now unveiled the song she will perform at Eurovision 2026 in Vienna.

About the song

Alice is a alt-pop song that explores themes of identity, emotional distance in modern life, and also self-discovery.

The song is a re-working of a track - and the fifth single - from her October 2025 album Looking for Connection. It was co-written by Charlie McClean alongside Veronica herself.

The song’s artistic direction will be led by Fredrik “Benke” Rydman, who has previously staged several standout Eurovision performances, including Heroes (Sweden 2015), Cha Cha Cha (Finland 2023), and The Code (Switzerland 2024).

She first gained national recognition in 2014 after appearing on The Voice of Switzerland where she was eliminated in the knockout round.

In 2016 Fusaro won ‘Demo of the Year’ at the Demotape Clinic which ultimately led to radio station SRF 3 naming her the Best Talent for May of that year.

In 2023, she released her debut album All the Colors of the Sky, which reached number five on the Swiss album charts, followed by her second album Looking for Connection in October 2025.

Switzerland at Eurovision

Switzerland is one of the original nations of the Eurovision Song Contest, having competed in, hosted, and won the inaugural edition in 1956.

Since then, Switzerland has only missed four contests, mixing their early success with varied results in the modern era.

The country has claimed the Eurovision crown three times: first in 1956 with Refrain by Lys Assia, again in 1988 with Céline Dion’s Ne partez pas sans moi, and most recently in 2024, when Nemo won with The Code.

In 2025, as the host country following its 2024 victory, Switzerland was represented by Zoë Më with the song Voyage. The entry finished in 10th place in the Grand Final.

Switzerland will compete in the second semi-final on Eurovision 2026.
