Overnight Spain released their song 'Reír' for the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2021, which will be performed by Levi Díaz.

'Reír' literally means laugh in English and is a mid/uptempo song with a message of hope. It premiered on Spanish afternoon television.

Díaz was selected internally to represent Spain this year. He is 13-years-old, and won 'The Voice Kids' in 2021. He also competed on the show in 2019 but failed to make it past the blind auditions stage.

He is the first boy to represent Spain since 2005.

Spain are competing at Junior Eurovision for the seventh time in 2021, and will be looking to maintain their impressive record of finishing in the top five. Last year's representative Soleá finished in 3rd with her song 'Palante'.

Junior Eurovision 2021 will take place in Paris on 19 December 2021, after the victory of France’s Valentina last year with 'J’imagine'.
