Spain: Benidorm Fest 2022 final preview

Following two earlier semi-finals during the week, the final of Spain's Benidorm Fest will be held this weekend.

Eight entries remain in the running to represent the "Big 5" nation at Eurovision 2022 in Turin, Italy.

The running order draw of the songs took place today and the competing artists will perform in this sequence:

  1. Rayden - 'Calle de la llorería'

  2. Tanxugueiras - 'Terra'

  3. Varry Brava - 'Raffaella'

  4. Chanel - 'SloMo'

  5. Rigoberta Bandini - 'Ay mamá'

  6. Xeinn - 'Eco'

  7. Gonzalo Hermida - 'Quién lo diría'

  8. Blanca Paloma - 'Secreto de agua'

The winner will be decided by the following breakdown:

  • 25% Televoting

  • 25% Demoscopic jury

  • 30% Spanish jury

  • 20% International jury

The two winners of the semi-finals, Chanel on night one with 'SloMo' and Rigoberta Bandini with 'Ay mamá' on night two must both be considered favourites for the contest.

However, both Tanxugueiras with 'Terra' (who won the public vote in the first semi-final) and Rayden with 'Calle de la llorería' (who received consistent good scores across the board) can't be dismissed.

You can watch the final of Benidorm Fest via Spanish channel RTVE (with no geoblock to Australia).

The final will start at 22:15 CET Saturday 29 January which is 8:15am AEDT Sunday 30 January in Australia.
