Samantha Mumba is not happy with the Irish judging panel after losing Eurovision selection on the weekend.

The pop star competed in Ireland's Eurosong contest which saw the winner selected to represent the nation at Eurovision 2025.

Mumba finished runner-up with her song My Way to Norwegian singer EMMY and her song Laika Party.

In an Instagram post this morning (Australian time), Samantha had some positive things to say to her supporters.

"Thank you so so much for all the incredible messages and love!! I’ve tried to respond to them all," she said.

"I am beyond proud of myself and the team for all the work and dedication we all put into this performance. I honestly wouldn’t change a thing. Truly. Those that got it, GOT IT…..and those that didn’t, that’s ok too. It’s my art and I stand by it."

After thanking many of those in her team, she took aim at the judging panel.

The panel gave their thoughts on each song after the performances and if it would be a good Eurovision entry. However, they did not vote or give points towards the overall scores.

The panel included Eurovision artist Bambie Thug, television personality Donal Skehan, radio presenter Laura Fox and dancer Arthur Gourounlian.

One judge stated that Samantha's song sounded like "10 demos put into a blender."

Mumba's musings on Instagram didn't hold back.

"Special mention to the “panel” (aside from Bambie who I stan) who not only didn’t have the credentials, experience or professionalism required and were unnecessarily rude and vile to all the finalists," she said.

"My parting gift [to] them is a bag of 🍆 to slowly choke on. (Would have said this in person but they all left the green room before I had the opportunity to) unsurprisingly."

Bobbi Arlo also lashes out

Bobbi Arlo competed with their song Powerplay.

They took to social media to bring up varying grievances about the process including camera angles, staging limitations and anti-queer sentiment.

EMMY won selection for Ireland after winning the Irish public and jury vote and finishing runner-up with the international jury.
