Romania: Finalists for Selecția Națională 2026 revealed!

Romanian broadcaster Televiziunea Română (TVR) has revealed ten of the eleven entries in the running for Eurovision 2026 in Vienna, Austria.
This week saw an extensive live audition process with 68 of the original 101 songs submitted given the opportunity to perform in front of a professional jury. You can watch the auditions here, including the ten finalists.
The final of Selecția Națională will take place on 4 March 2026 with the winner being decided by 100% jury vote. The contest will see Romania select an entry for Eurovision for the first time since 2023.

Wildcard entry
An eleventh wildcard artist is yet to be confirmed - but you can cast your vote to choose the entry! TVR announced that five acts are battling it out for the most YouTube views until this Sunday, the most viewed securing their spot in the grand final.

Notably, in the wildcard round is WRS, who represented Romania at the Eurovision 2022 in Turin with his song Llámame, finishing 18th in the Grand Final after qualifying from the semi-finals.
Romania in the Eurovision Song Contest
Romania debuted at the contest in 1994 and has placed in the top 10 six times. Their best result so far has been finishing in 3rd place with the notable and energetic performance of Luminița Anghel and Sistem in 2005 with Let Me Try. Additionally, in 2010 Paula Seling and Ovi also finished 3rd with Playing With Fire, featuring some iconic staging and stellar pyrotechnic fire.
For their past 10 appearances at Eurovision, Romania has qualified seven times for the Grand Final. Their best result in recent history was Ilinca and Alex Florea with Yodel It! finishing a notable 7th in 2017. Last year, WRS took Romania to the Grand Final with Llámame which finished in 18th place.
