With five Eurovision Song Contests completed this decade, how is each nation faring?

In an ongoing series, the Aussievision team will rate the performance of each Eurovision nation in alphabetical order.

We’ll look back at their results from 2021 to 2025, their qualification record, give our team’s rating, and see how they stack up against other countries.

Spain's Eurovision results of the 2020s

Team rating of Spain: 54.5%

We asked the Aussievision team to rate Spain's Eurovision 2020s entries on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest).

This gave us an average overall score from the 11 contributors who voted. We then converted that into a percentage.

Spain's score was: 54.5%

The scores ranged from a 4/10 to 7/10, with six contributors giving Spain a score of 5/10.

"Let's be honest: Spain has been criminally underrated since 2023, and it might continue. I thought Chanel's third-place finish would be the start of a resurgence, but selecting Manel Navarro over Mirela in 2017 has to be the straw that breaks the camel's back and unless there is another Chanel-style performer to turn things around, Spain, like Germany, might be in the purgatory of mediocrity." ~ John Christian

"Spain sends awesome stuff and is consistently under rewarded and under appreciated." ~ Troy

"If Spain was not in the Big 5, most of these would not have qualified for the final. There bottom 5 results is terrible. Even Germany has managed to turn this around." ~ Fleur

"A middle-aged homosexual disguised as a country." ~Craig

"I had hoped that Chanel had kick started some success for Spain at Eurovision... but no...." ~Hayley
