We asked the Aussievision team to rate Romania's Eurovision 2020s entries on a scale of 1 (lowest) to 10 (highest).
This gave us an average overall score from the 10 contributors who voted. We then converted that into a percentage.
Poland's score was: 35%
The scores ranged from a 3/10 to 5/10, with six contributors giving Romania a score of 3/10.
"Romanian Eurovision fans are some of the most lovely and passionate people I've met - the music industry is BOOMING and yet their broadcaster struggles to convert. I hope for the sake of the locals the tides are changing for them." ~Liv
"Llamame is such a good song. It should have fared better. Alas, subtle electro/dance doesn't capture the Eurovision audience's imagination - which is a real shame. Similarly, Amnesia was a great track with slick production. I feel the wheels came off a bit with DGT (Off and On). I think their results have been largely inconsistent with their quality. I really do hope their broadcaster can sort out their issues so they can return to the competition, because they send great music mostly." ~Troy
"Romania's nul points in 2023 is enough for me to give a low rating for the country. I mean, Ester Peony in 2019 is bad enough, but Theodor Andrei is severely underrated. Roxen, on the other hand, had a decent entry in 2020 but it wasn't mean to be and came back with sometimes that proved its invincibility has died down. If they want to bring the glory days back again, they should put the welfare of the artists and songwriters first before the fans. I'm not saying that Romania won't return anytime soon, I'm saying that they must stay afloat." ~John Christian
