Team comments
"After Je me casse, Malta is so brutally robbed by such acts like Emma Muscat, Sarah Bonnici, and The Busker. Selecting Miriana Conte over the likes of Kantera, JVF, and Kristy Spiteri is enough for me to give a low score for a country that is a Junior Eurovision powerhouse on itself." ~ John-Christian
"Malta is so brutally robbed at Eurovision. They love it - and I love their love for it. It makes me sad they make so much effort for little reward, just look at Sarah Bonnici in 2024 - I will be salty about that until the day I die. Malta deserve better that is for sure. Also - their national final this year was amazing! Keep doing you Malta, I am on your side!" ~ Hayley
"Im surprised my fellow contributors have ranked Malta so highly because in my opinion so far it has been a rather poor decade for them. Three consecutive non qualifications is the longest in the island nations history. Yes they struggle with the televote currently, but remember they came 2nd in 2002 and 2005 which was basically all televoting and there was already the free for all language rule. So I know they can do so much better. I do remember they are a small island nation with 400 000 and came last in their first two participations. But finishing last twice in the semis is pretty shocking." ~ Sam
"Je Me Casse and the stellar Destiny bump up my score Malta. And Loop is truly one of the best but most cruelly underrated ESC entries of all time. Malta again is another nation that doesn’t have a consistent bloc that get behind it, so have to work extra hard. They usually deliver great ESC moment that don’t always attract a lot of votes, and I think their fairing this decade is a continuation of that trend." ~ Troy
"They've got a masterplan, they're taking a stand, they just wanna dance, they're serving cunt - WHAT MORE DOES MALTA NEED TO DO. Wouldn't blame them for saying "Je me casse" given the lack of respect shown to them by Europe, but I'll always have their songs on loop. Take us to Valletta 2027 Jessika Muscat!!" ~ Craig
