Team comments
"Latvia is on something of a quiet upswing - while their two consecutive qualifications in 2024 and 2025 seems to have them back in fan good books, it's easy to miss that Citi Zeni and Sudden Lights were already getting them back on the right track with two credible bands sending credible (if quirky in Citi Zeni's case) entries. You can tell that qualifying to the final after so many years has reinvigorated the broadcaster, and I wouldn't be surprised to see more good things out of Latvia in the years to come. Great work!" ~Craig
"I wanted to score Latvia 5.5, so I rounded it up to 6. Sudden Lights would have qualified if the semis used juries. Dons and Tautumeitas exceeded Latvia's expectations. I for one am so happy to see them in the finals again. I think they finally worked it out. Top 10 for this Baltic nation is imminent." ~Fleur
"Latvia qualifying for two years in a row is such a feat, but it must continue its pursuit in order for the country to return its relevance in the Grand Final. Seven straight non-qualifications for Latvia is enough for me to give an average mark." ~John Christian
"This one is a super tough one. Congrats to Latvia qualifying the last two years - that wasn't by chance, these were well deserved - especially 2025 and that stunning staging. 2021 actually was one of my fave songs of the year - and I love me a bit of Samanta Tina. I listened to that song on repeat for a year but not really a Eurovision song and that staging - yikes... disaster... but I digress. I also think 2022 and 2023 were a little unlucky as well. The quality is there I think and Latvia seems to be on a good thing here. Keep it up!" ~Hayley
