Team comments
"Estonia punch well above their weight at Eurovision and have everything but the win at this point to show for it. Bearing in mind Estonia has a population of less than 1.4 million people, what they are achieving at the contest is unreal. Aside from a non-qualification at the start of the decade, a podium finish, two top ten results in total, and four consecutive final appearances is a fantastic result for a nation of this size. Eesti Laul is a brilliant national final and I consider myself very privileged to be able to attend and cover the selection every year for Aussievision. I hope Estonia will be rewarded for their efforts with victory at Eurovision this decade!" ~Laura
"I have given Estonia a high ranking here because they deserve it. Not a large country but they consistently do well at Eurovision and seem to be on a trajectory for another win. Eesti Laul is one of the best national finals we have with such variety. Well played Estonia." ~Hayley
"Estonia have pulled their weight! Four qualifications in a row! Their longest run of qualifications since the semi-finals began. Also a podium finish this year giving them their best result in over two decades. I want to see them qualify again next year!" ~Kyriakos
"I gave the ranking I did because 2022 and 2025 are the standouts for this Baltic country, although I could have given a higher rating had Ollie been the representative in the two attempts he's been in. Sadly, those two left a bad taste in my mouth and if they want to be in the top 5 like what Tommy Cash did, in the near future, they must send entries that fit the bill in Estonia's music scene." ~John Christian
"A top 3, a top 10, left hand side of the scoreboard and a top 20. Well done Estonia. The only hiccup was in 2021. The current format of Eesti Laul is certainly working for them. A trip to Tallinn is looking ominous at this rate." ~Fleur
"Always a strong performer but rarely my favourite, Estonia rightly has a very consistent record in the 2020s after a real return to form for their slick national final format. Although they were threatening to fall into a rut of slightly dull male pop songs (a rut that bottomed out with Uku Suviste's NQ in 2021), the years from 2023 onwards have been a particular return to form for them in my view, with Alika, 5miinust and Tommy Cash all bringing something completely unique to the stage. One of these years I think they'll hit the nail on the head - and I can't wait to see it!" ~Craig
