The results of the 39th edition OGAE Song Contest have been announced.
As we previously reported 29 OGAE clubs submitted an entry for this year's competition, which was held in Turin, Italy due to Annalisa's Euforia winning the 2024 edition of the contest.
So who came out on top?
Top three
Italy's Damiano David with Born With a Broken Heart won this year's edition of the OGAE Song Contest, scoring 279 points.
Damiano is the lead singer of Måneskin which won Eurovision 2021 with Zitti e buoni.
This means Italy has won two consecutive years. This is the first time since 2020 that a country has won this contest back-to-back.
Finland's BESS & Käärijä with Kaistaa finished runners-up, albeit by a long margin, on 179 points.
Käärijä finished runners-up at Eurovision 2023 with Cha Cha Cha. Bess competed at Finland's Eurovision national selection UMK in 2022 with Ram pam pam, and placed third. These two sadly miss out on winning another Eurovision related contest again.
In third place went to our very own Kylie Minogue with her song Lights Camera Action. Our pop princess once again has made us very proud.
This is the second consecutive year Australia has finished third at this contest. Last year Troye Sivan's Rush also earnt us bronze.
