Norway: Melodi Grand Prix semi-final 2 results

This morning saw the second semi-final of Norway’s Eurovision national selection show ‘Melodi Grand Prix’ (MGP) take place in the nation's capital, Oslo.


Oksvold and Anne Fagermo, Gåte as well as Erika Norwich and Super Rob were the three acts that received the highest number of public votes and will move through to the Grand Final on 3 February.


Mileo, Farida and Eli Kristen were eliminated from the competition after finishing in the bottom three.

  1. Farida - 'Heartache'

  2. Mileo - 'You're Mine'

  3. Eli Kristin - 'Touch of Venus'

  4. Erika Norwich & Super Rob - 'My AI'

  5. Anne Fagermo & Dag Erik Oksvold - 'Judge Tenderly of Me'

  6. Gåte - 'Ulveham'


For Australians who woke up early to tune it, we were treated to seeing one of our own up on the MGP stage.


Mileo is an Australian-Norwegian 24-year-old artist. Mileo was born in Sydney with his father Norwegian and his mother Australian.


A total of 18 entries will compete in this year's Melodi Grand Prix, with six songs in each semi-final. The three performers who obtain the most public votes in each will qualify for the final.


The result of the final will be determined by a 60/40 combination of votes from the public and an international jury, giving more weight to the televote.


Semi final 3 of Melodi Grand Prix takes place next Saturday 27th January with the Grand Final scheduled for 3rd February.
