This morning saw semi-final 3 of Norway’s Eurovision national selection show ‘Melodi Grand Prix’ (MGP) take place in Oslo.

KEiiNO, MIIA and Annprincess were the three acts that received the highest number of public votes and will move through to next Saturday's Grand Final.

Thomas Jenssen, Vidar Villa and MISTRA were eliminated from the competition after finishing in the bottom three.

The last of the three semi-finals featured six acts fighting for a spot in the MGP Grand Final including one former Eurovision act.

Performing this evening were:

  1. Vidar Villa - 'MER'

  2. MISTRA - 'Waltz of Death'

  3. Thomas Jenssen - 'Take Me To Heaven'

  4. Annprincess - 'Save Me'

KEiiNO previously represented Norway in 2019 winning the televote and finishing sixth with 'Spirit in the Sky'.

A total of 18 entries competed in this year's Melodi Grand Prix, with six songs in each semi-final. The three performers who obtained the most public votes in each qualified for the final.

Upon completion of today's semi-final we now know the nine songs that will battle it out next week for the right to represent Norway at Eurovision 2024 in Malmö, Sweden.

  1. Ingrid Jasmin - 'Eya'

  2. Margaret Berger - 'Oblivion'

The result of the final will be determined by a 60/40 combination of votes from the public and an international jury, giving more weight to the televote.
