Moldova: Artists and songs announced for Etapa Națională

EDIT: Since the announcement Aliona Moon has withdrawn from the contest.

Overnight, Moldova announced the 32 artists and songs for their national final Etapa Națională.

In the running are two former Eurovision artists Aliona Moon and Natalia Barbu.

Aliona competed in 2013 with 'O Mie' finishing in 11th place. Additionally, she was a backing singer for the 2012 entry 'Lăutar' which also placed 11th.

Aliona also competed in Moldova's national final last year with 'Du-mă' finishing 3rd behind Parsha Parfeny and SunStroke Project.

Natalia Barbu competed for Moldova at Eurovision with 'Fight' in 2007. The entry finished 10th, one of only five entries from Moldova to make the Top 10.

The 32 artists in Etapa Națională will take part in a live audition show on January 13. The finalists will take part in the final on February 17 to decide who will go to Eurovision 2024 for the nation.
