Marina Satti will represent Greece at Eurovision 2024



It's official! Today ERT, the Greek broadcaster, has announced that Marina Satti will represent Greece at the Eurovision Song Contest 2024 in Malmö.


The announcement was made on ERT1 on the 'Studio 4' show with Nancy Zampetoglou and Thanasis Angnostopoulos.



Marina is a Greek singer songwriter who has released music combining traditional Greek, Arabic, Balkan and Middle Eastern sounds and production.


The 36-year-old was born in Athens to a Sudanese father and a Cretan mother. She was raised in Heraklion, Crete. At a young age she learnt piano and did classical vocal training during her high school years.


Marina represented Greece at the European Jazz Orchestra performing across Europe and also performed with the World Jazz Nonet at the John F. Kennedy Center.



Her 2016 song 'Κούπες' reached 23 million views on YouTube, now at 27 million views. She released her debut album 'YENNA'.


In 2017 her single 'ΜΑΝΤΙΣΣΑ' went viral on YouTube where it has now surpassed a combined 50 million views and streams.



As well as having a career in music Marina has worked as actress with the National Theatre of Greece, the Greek National Opera and the Athens Festival.


ERT is still on the look out for Marina's Eurovision song. ERT, the record companies Golden Records and Minos EMI, as well as Marina are giving an open call for song submissions. They will be taking song submissions up until December 1. There is no confirmation yet as to how the song will be selected.

Greece made their Eurovision debut in 1974. Over the decades they had various degrees of success until 2001 when Greece finished in third place with Antique’s '(I Would) Die For You' and then on managed to stay in the top 10 for most of the decade and also won the Contest for the first time in 2005 with Helena Paparizou’s 'My Number One'.
