This morning saw the Grand Finale of Melodifestivalen and the Swedes have chosen Loreen to represent them in Liverpool with the song 'Tattoo'.

12 acts competed, but it was Loreen who took the crown, winning both the jury vote and televote. Second place went to Marcus & Martinus who were runner-up with both the jury and the public. Third place went to Smash Into Pieces who came third with the public and fourth with the jury.

'Tattoo' was written by Loreen in conjunction with Peter Boström, Moa 'Cazzi Opeia' Carlebecker, Thomas G:son, Jimmy Jansson and Jimmy "Joker" Thörnfeldt. Peter & Thomas were also behind her Eurovision winning song 'Euphoria' in 2012.

About 'Tattoo' Loreen says -

Your love is carved in me as a tattoo. It has energy and power, a depth. It's a love song. As usual, I like to talk about love, because there is nothing more important. Above all in these times, it is extremely important that we lift the collective love.

Loreen is the first Melfest winner to win for a second time in 15 years. She joins an exclusive club of incredible Melfest that have won more than once including Carola and Charlotte Perrelli. Check out all the Melfest winners that have won multiple times here.
