Latvia: Supernova 2022 artists and songs revealed

Latvian broadcaster LTV have announced artists and released the songs participating in the national selection show 'Supernova'.


16 entrants will be vying for the honour of being Latvia's representative at the 2022 Eurovision Song Contest in Turin.


Some big names return to the lineup including 2015 Latvian Eurovision representative Aminata and longtime Supernova hopeful and Supernova 2015 & 2019 runner-up Markus Riva.


Three other previous Latvian Eurovision participants are also competing in Supernova this year with BUJĀNS (Intars Busulis 2009), Bermudu Divstūris (Musiqq 2011) and Ralf Eilands of Mēs Jūs Mīlam (PeR 2013) hoping to represent their country again in 2022.


The full list of 16 artists and songs are:

  • Beatrise Heislere - 'On The Way Home'

  • Bermudu Divstūris - 'Bad'

  • Bujāns - 'He, She, You & Me'

  • Citi Zēni - 'Eat Your Salad'

  • Elīna Gluzunova - 'Es pabiju tur'

  • Inspo - 'A Happy Place'

  • Katō - 'Promises'

  • Linda Rušeniece - 'Pay My Own Bills'

  • Markus Riva - 'If You're Gonna Love Me'

  • Miks Dukurs - 'First Love'

  • Mēs Jūs Mīlam - 'Rich Itch'

  • Patriks Peterson - 'Can't Get You Outta My Head'

  • Raum - 'Plans'

  • The Coco'nuts - 'In And Out Of The Dark'

  • Zelma - 'How'


The semi-final of Supernova will take place on Saturday February 5 (Sunday February 6 in Australia) with the final on Saturday February 12 (Sunday February 13 in Australia) where the winner will be determined.
