KEiiNO release 'Roar Like a Lion' video with Australian based Māori group Te Hau Tawhiti

Norwegian supergroup KEiiNO officially released their debut album ‘OKTA’ on May 15, and to celebrate KEiiNO performed a live ‘OKTA release-concert’. Today they have released ‘Roar Like a Lion’ from the concert, with Australian based Māori group Te Hau Tawhiti.

KEiiNO released a statement on Facebook regarding the collaboration:

“Working together with Te Hau Tawhiti in Airlock Studios outside of Brisbane was one of those very special moments when recording OKTA. The blend of cultures and musical styles could very well go wrong, but we are soo happy with the end-result. Dear singers of this amazing group; Thank you so much for reminding us what music is all about and how it enables us to share joy, energy, pride and hope. We performed the song live during our release-party, and luckily we filmed Te Hau Tawhiti when they put down their performance. Hope you'll enjoy this version of Roar Like a Lion!”

While on their Australian tour last year KEiiNO also recorded new music with ‘Eurovision - Australia Decides 2019’ runner-ups Electric Fields. Their partnered effort ‘Would I Lie’ was released as a single in early April.

Both of these Australian collaborations form part of the 10-track album 'OKTA' which includes their Eurovision 2019 televote winning song 'Spirit in the Sky'.

‘OKTA’ managed download chart success here in Australia reaching No.8 on the Australian iTunes album chart. ‘OKTA’ also reached the top 10 in the iTunes album charts in many more countries, including Norway and Kazakhstan at No.2 and Hong Kong at No.7.

The album debuted at No.30 on the Official Album Chart (VG-Lista) in Norway and at No.63 on the UK Album Downloads Chart.
