The Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2024 is fast approaching!
Taking place in Spanish city Madrid, Junior Eurovision 2024 will see 17 young artists fight it out for a place in Eurovision history.
As we look forward to the show on November 16, we asked the Aussievision team to rank their favourite songs from this year's Contest.
9 team members took up the challenge, with the results set out below.
Do we think France can win for the third year in a row? Will returning countries Cyprus and San Marino impress? Or will one of the dark horses come out on top of our list?
There's only one way to find out - here are our top 10 favourites!
10. Ramires Sciberras - Stilla ċkejkna (Malta) - 26 points
(12 points from Emma, 6 points from Hayley & Craig)
"I don't know how else to describe this but 'Stilla Ċkejkna' just sounds like the winning song. Ramires' voice soars beautifully over this well produced contemporary piano ballad. A really beautiful performance". ~ Emma
9. Maria Pissarides - Crystal Waters (Cyprus) - 29 points
(12 points from John Christian, 8 points from Liv)
"It has a vibe similar to its 2024 counterpart, Silia Kapsis. I expect that performance to have a dance break similar to Silia, Blanka, and Chanel, and with those, it could very well be in Top 5 territory. So much summery vibes for that, and I'm glad Cyprus chose that risk." ~ John Christian
=7. Simone Grande - Pigiama party (Italy) - 31 points
(10 points from Liv, 6 points from Joel)
"I LOVE this. It's been decades since I've actually been to a pyjama party, but I remember it being an absolute blast, and that's what this song embodies. The easy-to-digest topic with a cutesy, upbeat tune is the type of age-appropriate fluff I enjoy seeing at Junior Eurovision. Simone also hits some pretty lofty notes in there, which should pull in some votes. Bravo Simone!!" ~ Liv
=7. Titouan - Comme ci, comme ça (France) - 31 points
(10 points from Craig, 8 points from Emma)
"France undoubtedly have a formula at Junior Eurovision, but it's a successful formula, and this song feels like another success for Junior Eurovision's biggest powerhouse. Titouan is charismatic, the song is charming and upbeat (with enough peaks and troughs to maintain interest) and overall, it's a likeable package. Perhaps not a third consecutive win for the French, but certainly another very respectable result on the way." ~ Craig
6. Chloe DelaRosa - Como la Lola (Spain) - 38 points
(10 points from Dale, 8 points from Sam and Hayley)
"I didn't want to like this but it is damn catchy. The Spanish know how to do Junior Eurovision and this a fun and cute host entry." ~ Dale
"This is by far the biggest earworm in the contest. I can imagine the Spanish audience going absolutely bonkers for this performance in Madrid. I think Spain has a real chance to win on home soil like France last year. For some reason Chloe really reminds me of Maria Isabel – Spain’s first Junior Eurovision winner." ~ Sam
5. Stay Tuned - Music (Netherlands) - 41 points
(12 points from Dale, 8 points from Fleur)
"There's something ridiculously cheesy and catch about Dutch Junior Eurovision entries and this is no exception. It's kind of a crossover of S Club Kids and a Dutch Eurodance national final entry and I'm here for it." ~ Dale
4. Leo - Cosmic Friend (Armenia) - 46 points
(12 points from Joel and Hayley, 7 points from Craig)
"This song is too adorable!! The colourful outfits are on point. The dance moves are a heap of fun. The staging manages to be futuristic yet early 2000's at the same time. And it's all backed by a funky dance beat. WINNER." ~ Joel
"Winner winner chicken dinner! This is serious bop with endless staging opportunities! It stands above the rest and will stand out in Madrid!" ~ Hayley
3. Artem Kotenko - Hear Me Now (Ukraine) - 48 points
(12 points from Craig, 10 points from Joel & Hayley)
"This song is immediately catchy, a definite earworm that I'm happy to listen to again and again." ~ Joel
"This is so so slick! Almost futuristic. This boy can dance and sing!" ~ Hayley
2. Enya Cox Dempsey - Le chéile (Ireland) - 62 points
(12 points from Liv, 10 points from Sam, 8 points from John Christian, Craig & Dale)
"I can't describe the sound of this song as anything other than GLORIOUS. Enya's voice is sublime on top of those crunchy chords and harmonies. The whole entry is uplifting and powerful with a wonderful, hopeful message. Enya's song has been on repeat in my household for weeks - one listen lifts my spirits immediately. Go n-éirí leat!" ~ Liv
"This is teen pop done exceptionally. It may be generic, but this is a very solid package. I think I enjoy listening to this song because it makes me nostalgic for the 2000s pop I grew up with. I hope Ireland gets a great result at Junior Eurovision like at the adult version this year. Going in the penultimate position and having their singer named after Enya bodes well for the Emerald Isle." ~ Sam
1. Victoria Nicole - Esperança (Portugal) - 69 points
(12 points from Sam, 10 points from Fleur & Emma, 8 points from Joel, 7 points from John Christian & Dale)
"This is the voice of this year’s contest. An absolutely enchanting, emotional song. Victoria for me is Portugal’s answer to a young Delta Goodrem, sitting at the piano and belting out what I dare say is the best ballad to ever compete at Junior Eurovision. I really hope this is a winner for Portugal, given how poorly they do at Eurovision events sadly. There may be some flashy, catchy pop numbers this year, but I hope Europe recognises true talent and stardom." ~ Sam
"This young lass has a bunch of talent. Victoria has a big voice and somehow this ballad / rap fusion works. A really interesting song." ~ Fleur
"Victoria Nicole is a star in the making. The talented piano player is the whole package with a stunning voice for someone of only 13. I really hope we see her at Eurovision proper one day." ~ Emma
"Portugal's JESC entry this year might be the one to win because of its overwhelming fan support. To be honest, that level is on par with its Eurovision counterpart, and I think it could be the favorite to take the trophy." ~ John Christian.

Hallo!
